The Academic Registry and Council Secretariat has recently completed a restructure which supports the strategic priorities of Queen Mary, its professional services aims and management of risk through the provision of a dedicated, professional academic administration service. Changes include the enhancement of the service provision to students through the creation of a dedicated Student Enquiry Unit, creating an Examinations unit that provides a comprehensive service for all invigilated examinations, a clearer faculty-focus for schools and institutes in the principal areas of student record keeping and academic quality assurance, appropriate support for key compliance and reporting requirement and support for improved communications with staff and students. 

The Academic Registry seeks to recruit a Registry Processes Data Quality Officer to provide expert and dedicated support to the expanding community of SIS users. This will involve managing help desk queries, identifying and solving data issues, staff training and development, data audit and compliance, process review and development, support for statutory returns and general maintenance of the SIS system.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of managing student records and an understanding of the complexities of record keeping
  • Highly developed knowledge of Registry and Admissions processes
  • Experience in reviewing business processes and identifying areas for development
  • Experience in developing / delivering support and training to users

The position is a permanent post. Starting salary will be in the range £33,944 - £39,936 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
