The Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences is a vibrant community of scholars, researchers and practitioners providing a diverse range of courses across seven academic departments and four research centres, comprising over 160 staff and 4,500 students.
We wish to appoint a Pro Dean (Academic) to work alongside the Pro Dean (External) and the Executive Dean to provide leadership to heads of department and other senior staff across a range of key strategic areas, including student success and satisfaction, employability, curriculum development and teaching and learning.
You will need proven strategic planning, change management and leadership skills, evidenced by a track record of measurable success in the delivery of an improved student experience in a higher education context. The ability to strategise, communicate and deliver change in pedagogic practice, curriculum design and delivery is essential, along with the authority to be able to represent the Faculty within the University and externally.
