£23,094 - £28,329 pro rata

This role provides the opportunity to work as part of the integrated Careers and Employability Service team, in the identification and development of employability opportunities for our students and graduates, and facilitating employer engagement and business opportunities with the University. You will liaise with appropriate employers and other external contacts and facilitate employer involvement with University Employability schemes and organise the delivery of employer-led talks, skills development activities and fairs. You will increase awareness and actively promote the range of CES services to employers, facilitate employer access to students/graduates and help employers clarify their recruitment needs and formulate vacancies. Additionally, you will produce and deliver presentations to various groups to promote CES employer-related services and represent CES at regional employer networking events.

Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant experience of successful employer liaison, networking and business relationship development, you will have a proven track record of identifying, promoting and selling a range of business solutions and services, evidence of sales achievement against targets and evidence of working innovatively along with the ability to deliver key objectives within agreed timescales and budget parameters. A current driving licence or access to a means of mobility support is also essential.

A qualification or CPD in marketing, business development or sales and experience of working in an educational or recruitment environment, with knowledge of University of Sunderland students/graduates, the regional employment scene, skills sectors and labour market, and an awareness of relevant employment legislation would be advantageous.
