Full Time : The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £25,927 - £28,810 per annum, depending on skills and experience, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases was founded in June 2009 by a group of the world's foremost health research funding agencies to coordinate certain research activities that will address, on a global scale, the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. The Alliance has named UCL as the host of its Secretariat, therefore are seeking to appoint a Programme Administrator of the Alliance Secretariat.

Based at UCL, the role holder will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director in managing the administration of the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases. In particular, this will involve the travel, finance, HR, and other logistical arrangements of the organization, within the administrative systems of UCL. In addition, the role holder will contribute to the strategic management of the GACD.

The post is initially funded for 20 months.

Applicants must be educated to at least A Level standard or equivalent, and have a minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C or above; have proven experience working in an administrative role, with budgets, travel arrangements, and maintaining administrative and office systems. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in international development/third sector/NGO; have excellent communication, strong planning, organisation, problem-solving, co-ordination and negotiation skills.
