Manager, Resource Development

Salary Range: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum

Reporting to the Director General, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising plan in the UK in line with the University's mission and vision. As the lead for AKU's Resource Development unit in the UK, the individual will ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective fundraising services; take responsibility for delivering financial targets through a managed portfolio of major donors; monitor the performance of the fundraising plan and take corrective action to ensure annual objectives, including financial targets are met; be responsive to the University's strategic objectives in the UK which include contribute to the institution's financial sustainability, raise awareness and increase the profile of AKU amongst its UK based major donors, and develop a strong team to support the development of Major Donors in the UK.

Candidates must have a Master's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Communications with strong experience in major and principal gifts fundraising for higher education or commensurate senior management experience in not-for-profit fund development. The incumbent will be a self-starter with strong communication skills and a thorough knowledge of fundraising requirements and procedures at a senior level.
