Background

Information Services is a new directorate which encompasses the previously separate University Library and IT departments. The post is one of three Heads of Service who will form the directorate Leadership Team with the new Director of Information Services.

This is a rare opportunity to join a new leadership team and participate in developing ambitious strategies and leading-edge services during a period of exciting transformational change at a long established and highly respected university.

Key duties and responsibilities
The Head of Resource and Facility Services will work with the Director and colleagues to develop strategies and plans for the delivery of integrated information services that meet the University's research, teaching, learning and professional service delivery needs. They will lead a team of staff responsible for delivering a range of services including managing the physical and electronic information resources the University requires together with the development of Library space, PC labs and other learning spaces managed by Information Services

Person specification
A graduate with extensive relevant professional and management experience, possessing the skills, knowledge and personal attributes to deliver integrated information services in this ambitious and growing University.
