Reporting to the Provost as part of McGill's senior administration, the Dean, Faculty of Engineering will have an exemplary academic record, strong achievements in research, teaching, scholarly activities and service, and demonstrated leadership capabilities in a collegial university setting. He/she will be an excellent communicator with a commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research and the success of all students, faculty and staff. The Dean will provide vision, strategy and dynamic leadership to facilitate and enhance the endeavours of McGill Engineering through an open and collegial style, outstanding management and interpersonal skills that are oriented towards community-building and consultation, and a creative approach to problem solving. Experience building diverse and collaborative teams, relating to a range of internal and external partners, and an interest in or experience with fundraising will be important assets in this role.
