Established in 1967, the School of Architecture pursues architecture as a form of creative cultural enquiry and is a leader in design education and research. It offers a CACB accredited professional programme consisting of a four year Honours Bachelor of Architectural Studies, which includes twenty months of cooperative work term experience, followed by a Master of Architecture. The School's 19 full-time and 25 part-time faculty members and 15 support staff, work with 430 top students from Canada and around the world in a spirit of fellowship, generosity and collaboration. Since 1979 the School has operated a studio in Rome, with virtually every fourth-year student participating in this award-winning programme. The Director, School of Architecture will be an accomplished leader, teacher and researcher with demonstrated experience in university administration and connections with the architectural profession. The successful candidate will possess an open and collegial style, outstanding management, communication and interpersonal skills, a creative approach to problem solving, and the ability to inspire a dedicated faculty and staff. Architectural professionals without extensive academic experience who possess a proven record of leadership and a commitment to promoting excellence in research and teaching within the field of architecture will be considered.Â
