The University is currently looking to appoint a senior and highly strategic individual to the post of Head of Environmental Sustainability. The post holder will be a key member of the Facilities Directorate Senior Management Team, reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, and work across the Institution, at the most senior levels, to promote the sustainability agenda. The University has a strong commitment to pioneering research in the sustainability field, to creating a campus which resonates with this agenda and a student experience which fully embraces sustainability. S/he will be responsible for developing and delivering an integrated approach to sustainability across all University activity, including internal communications with students and staff, external relations and developing and leading programmes and the measurement of activity and performance.

The successful candidate will possess an impressive track record of achievement in this area, gained at a senior level in either the private, public or not-for-profit sector. S/he will be motivated by a desire to use their skills to reinforce collegiality, support transparency and openness, involve people in, and promotethe Institution’s commitment to, sustainability.

Salary

The salary will be within the University Grade 10 range â€" minimum £54,283 p.a.
