Salary: up to £23,000 per annum (package up to £30,000)
The Role - This 18 month fixed-term paid internship with Merit Plastic Mouldings Limited and the University of Hertfordshire offers a unique opportunity to become expert in supplier quality systems. You will develop and implement business processes to support Supply Chain 21st Century and related accreditation. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to gain wide ranging experience in a manufacturing environment.
The Company - Established in 1972, Merit Plastic Mouldings (MPM) is a precision injection moulding and assembly specialist. MPM's customers operate in a broad range of market sectors - from automotive and medical to consumer goods and general engineering.
Candidate Profile - You will hold, as a minimum, a 2:1 BEng or BSc (Hons) degree in engineering with management or similar degree programme. Ideally, you will have gained some working knowledge of manufacturing excellence management systems and quality assurance.
You will posses excellent analytical skills, be a good communicator who is self motivated and able to use your own initiative. Must be able to motivate and convince others, assertive. A facilitator with credibility but must be diplomatic. The successful candidate must be able to work with the shop floor to develop and implement manufacturing excellence tools and techniques. Additionally, the ability to develop and write quality system documentation to aid the implementation of the AS9100 standard will be essential.
