BEd and Creative and Contextual Studies Coordinator

Salary Scale: £40,680 - £45,789 per annum

Working closely with the Dean and Heads of Department, you will ensure the effective and efficient coordination, management and delivery of the BEd Music and of the Critical and Contextual Studies elements of the B Mus programme. 

You will liaise with the University of Glasgow in relation to joint delivery of the programme and be expected to make a significant contribution to the continuous enhancement of the programme and play a key role in facilitating an excellent student experience. 

We are introducing a new curriculum in 2012/13. Our new curriculum will offer our emerging artists greater choice within their own specialism, creating space for greater co-creation with students from different disciplines. It is relevant to the contemporary international scene and meets the need now felt by professional companies in every discipline around the world for confident, reflective, adaptable artists. In academic terms, the new curriculum creates the space for disciplinary excellence, choice and transdisciplinary co-creation.

You will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject, together with teaching experience in a Conservatoire (or possibly another HE) context, and some experience of programme design, coordination and management.

Registration as a classroom teacher is desirable.
