BMus Coordinator

Salary Scale: £40,680- £45,789 per annum

Working closely with the Dean and Heads of Department, you will ensure the effective and efficient coordination, management and delivery of the BMus programme.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, management and delivery of the BMus programme in all of its aspects, including admissions and transitions, timetabling, delivery and assessment.

You will also make a significant contribution to the continuous enhancement of the programme and will develop a cohesive programme ethos across and between specialist Departments and promote the enhancement of learning and teaching, including the use and development of CIT. 

You will teach on the BMus (and other programmes as appropriate) in accordance with disciplinary expertise (and depending on background and expertise, you will be able to engage in practice and/or research).

We are introducing a new curriculum in 2012. Our new curriculum will offer our emerging artists greater choice within their own specialism, creating space for greater co-creation with students from different disciplines. It is relevant to the contemporary international scene and meets the need now felt by professional companies in every discipline around the world for confident, reflective, adaptable artists. In academic terms, the new curriculum creates the space for disciplinary excellence, choice and transdisciplinary co-creation.

You will be educated to degree level and have a deep and applied knowledge of effective teaching practices in a Conservatoire (or possibly other HE) environment, together with demonstrable knowledge of the national and international cultural landscape and all aspects of the education sector.
