We are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff to advise, assess the needs of, and support disabled students, in particular those with specific learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders. You will assist these students to participate fully in their chosen courses of study. You will work with a caseload of up to 250 students. You will liaise with University staff and external agencies as required, and contribute to the Student Disability Service policies and procedures.
You will be degree qualified and/or have a relevant professional qualification, have prior experience of supporting disabled students, in particular those with specific learning difficulties and/or autistic spectrum disorders, and will be committed to promoting equality and inclusion of disabled people. You will be a good team worker and will also work effectively using your own initiative. Experience of supporting students in higher education will be an advantage.Â
