Salary Range £27,400- £31,300 per annum
This exciting post is to work as part of a team of project support staff overseeing and managing the EpiMigrant study, recently funded by the European Union FP7 program. EpiMigrant is an international study of risk factors for type-2 diabetes and related disorders. The study is led from the School of Public Health. Dr John Chambers is the Principal Investigator for epiMigrant; Professor Jaspal S Kooner and Professor Paul Elliott are the other lead investigators in the Department.
The post holder will assist with the coordination and conduct of the research projects, and will also provide administrative support for the day-to-day research work of Dr John Chambers, Professor Jaspal S Kooner and their research group. The work requires the post holder to handle a varied workload, with great attention to detail and confidentiality of data and other information.
The post will focus primarily on project co-ordination and administration, but will also be expected to participate actively in the research through collection, management, analysis and/or reporting of research data (training can be provided).
This role requires the post holder to be able to handle a varied and extensive workload, to work with minimal supervision and to have similar previous project experience, ideally within a higher education setting.
Attention to detail, reliability and the commitment to ensure the quality and accuracy of your work are essential.
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of administrative processes, and will be a good communicator with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
This full time post is for a fixed term of 30 months in the first instance, based at the St Mary's Campus, Paddington.
