The University of Brighton is seeking a high calibre, inspirational individual to help lead the future development of a newly established school in the Faculty of Arts. This new school offers an exciting academic portfolio of taught programmes across the disciplines of arts, media, architecture and design. Across the school all subjects are built on firm intellectual foundations with distinctive disciplinary communities of practice. This role will provide an opportunity for a visionary leader to contribute to, and support the Head of School in, the shaping of the future of the new school, through research and civic and social engagement leadership, pedagogic development and curriculum innovation.
The post requires a nationally recognised leader with knowledge and expertise in the field of art and design that can, more particularly, extend and cover architecture, design, fine art and media. High quality leadership, communication and management skills are essential, as is the ability to formulate and deliver strategic plans.
You will have comprehensive knowledge of academic provision, trends and issues and experience in management of quality assurance and strategic allocation of resources.
