Position Overview:
We are a small, creative retailer with a diverse product line. We are looking for an experienced Accountant who can be a dynamic addition to our Finance team at Brooklyn Industries. We would like this person to continue the control over inventory and maintain the integrity of our data and trackers.

Key qualities for our Accountant are the abilities to follow and enforce procedure, pay attention to details, be computer savvy and solutions oriented. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and letter of credits is a plus.

This person must be very well organized, and be strategic in how they approach their job. Ideally this person is a highly effective communicator, not bored by data entry, and has the ability and drive to do more in the finance team. We are looking for a candidate who will grow in our team - If you have talent, we will give you more responsibility.

Lastly, we want a person who is entrepreneurial, works hard and is smart. This position requires that the person be a team player but able to work independently. Only people looking for a commitment should apply.

This is an entry level position. Experience of 1-2 years (maximum) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Pull and update sales -- Daily, weekly, and monthly
Reconcile inventory
Control inventory transfers and adjust discrepancies as needed
Maintain tracker for all international and domestic PO's
Maintain financial tracker for all inventory
Perform month close activities as needed
