Investor Relations Associate (Parsippany, NJ)

Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company which develops acute care products and currently manufactures two parenteral products for commercial distribution into the US and European markets. We are currently looking for an Investor Relations Associate to join our team in our Parsippany, NJ office.

Responsibilities to include:

- Support CFO in managing relationships with investors, stakeholders, and research analysts

- Prepare PowerPoint presentations; draft written communications; and other materials as needed.

- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and time demands with only broad direction. (includes conferences and events involving top executives from within and outside of the company.)

- In conjunction with outside IR firm, coordinate the company's quarterly earning calls including CFO's quarterly webcasts.

- In conjunction with outside IR firm, coordinate external correspondence with investment community including quarterly earnings releases and important news releases.

- Recognize urgent or time-sensitive requests.

- Use independent discretion to manage, modify, schedule and decline requests.

- Coordinate travel, including travel itinerary, hotel accommodations, and meeting agenda(s.)

- Compose correspondence/email to convey relevant information with appropriate clarity and tone.

- Create documents, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets - exercising judgment regarding layout and style.

- Attend meetings, take notes, prepare minutes, capture commitments, and assist with follow-up.

- Work on basic financial analyses, assignments or projects.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business or Social Sciences.

- High emotional intelligence and maturity.

- Ability to influence others by exercising sound judgment and taking proactive action.

- Self-motivated team player with strong work ethic.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people.

- Excellent and polished verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong quantitative and analytic abilities.

- Desire/ability to work in a small company environment.

- Ability to be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.

- Ability to travel.

- Able to personally manage change and adapt personal work style and processes in response to the dynamic nature of the organization.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment of tight deadlines and high quality standards.

- Able to operate autonomously and collaboratively.

- Technically curious with expert-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint.)
