Student Finance Adviser

Student Finance Adviser

At Leicester we're going places. Ranked in the top 20 universities in Britain our aim is to climb further. A commitment to high quality fused with an inclusive academic culture is our hallmark and led the Times Higher Education to describe us as "elite without being elitist".

Applications are invited for the role of Student Finance Adviser in the University's Student Support and Development Service. As a Student Finance Adviser, your role will be to provide financial advice, guidance and support for students. A major part of this role involves developing and delivering specialist financial information, advice and support for students and prospective students, ensuring that individuals maximise the funding available to them from all sources (statutory and discretionary) in a constantly changing Higher Education financial environment.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning and implementation of the University's strategic policy in relation to the allocation and administration of Hardship funds (as an integral part of the Student Finance team); recognising and responding effectively to changing institutional priorities, and inform the University of any changes to student finance legislation or any trends which may impact on recruitment, retention or student satisfaction, and make recommendations for actions.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Julie Boggon on jb40@le.ac.uk or 0116 223 1185.

The closing date for this post is midnight on Thursday 17th May 2012.

We anticipate that interviews will take place on Friday 25th May 2012.
