We are working with a school in the Downtown Manhattan area who needs some short term coverage in the Accounts Payable department.
This job is at a support level, please if you are a manager of AP this would not be appropriate for you. If you are currently working this position would not be appropriate to apply to. This job is a short term, Temporary Position.
The appropriate candidate needs to have 1-3 years as an AP Clerk/Associate. Please send your resume as a word attachment to the email provided with your salary expectations (hourly rate).
This position is looking to start in the next few days so you must be available to interview ASAP.
Accounting Functions:
Thorough knowledge of Accounts Payable process
Process Account Payable invoices and reimbursement expenses
Process check requests reconciliation such a verifying totals and accounts number for accuracy
Enter all void and typed checks into Accounts Payable system
Follow up on vendor/inter-department inquiries
Prepare the first part of the deposit
Process and enter journal entries into the accounting system
Process cash disbursement, void and manual checks
Other accounting related duties as assigned
Colleague Finance software experience preferred ( Datatel/Ellucian )
Proficient in MS excel and MS word
