QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a financial background and experience with managing large volumes of data. Candidate should have a strong GPA from a recognized undergraduate program. You must be a proactive, self starter with strong intellectual curiosity, solid communication skills, the ability to work within Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, as well as strong organizational capabilities - there will be plenty of multitasking. Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) databases (e.g. Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics) a major plus.

ABOUT US: We are a publicly traded Business Development Company focused on providing senior secured debt to small to mid-sized companies. We completed our IPO in August 2010 and are listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "FULL". We are looking for a Summer Marketing Intern to augment the investment team's capabilities in originating new business opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Co-managing a CRM database with more than 2,500 private equity firms, debt funds, investment banks, deal brokers and other industry contacts;
Assisting with and executing database customization that augments how the firm collects, organizes, and reports information to senior management and the board of directors;
Research on private equity firms and other market participants across the United States;
Researching methods utilized by competing firms to source new investment opportunities;
On an ad-hoc basis, various research projects on the BDC sector.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: The Marketing Intern will work directly with Full Circle's lead marketing analyst and vice president and develop an excellent understanding of the BDC's targeted markets. Additionally, the Marketing Intern will build a strong knowledge base on the BDC sector, the investment origination process, the types of investment opportunities that are most prevalent in different markets, and the effectiveness of different marketing strategies (i.e. e-mail, calling, social media, etc.). Finally, the Marketing Intern will develop expert skills managing information that he/she will be able to apply to any other marketing, sales or database management role.
