Our client, a Full Service Financial Firm is looking for someone to join their team as a Residential Loan Processor.
You will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for processing residential loan applications, including inputting of loan application data into the related Bank's loan origination and underwriting systems.
Responsible for reviewing applications for completeness.
Orders all necessary supporting documentation.
Reviews all loan applications documents, works loan up and submits file to the Underwriting Department.
Communicates with Borrower to provide current status reports, including outstanding conditions to commitment.
Submits approved loan applications to closing and coordinate with closing function to or initiates action on canceled/rejected loans.
Maintains positive working relationship with co-workers and customers.
Meets performance standards and goals established by the bank.
Make judgments as to whether the loan is "reasonable" even if it meets published guidelines on the surface. If it does not appear reasonable, must escalate for further evaluation.
Document any potential issue or concerns regarding loan reasonableness or potential fraud/misrepresentation and escalate to Underwriting Manager, Chief Lending Officer and/or Chief Risk Officer depending on the circumstances.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes, external and internal compliance requirements, and investor guidelines to insure loan salability.
May be required to process multi-family or mixed-use loans, depending upon volume
