Summary:
The Buyer will be involved in the sources, development of strategies, managing logistics, establishing purchasing procedures, and controlling price and quality. In addition, this position will manage forecasting and planning to maintain adequate supply. Also must ensure all franchisees are buying all required items from the supplier.
Responsibilities:
Source product with suppliers and factories
Communicate and monitor product design with factory
Review product samples
Bid out items to multiple suppliers
Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
Determine the quantity required on an annual basis
Identify the distributor for the product
Negotiate the delivered price on product assigned
Place / communicate orders and stay involved in inventory distribution
Ensure systems are maintained with current product description and accurate inventory
Review success of the product launched
Forecast replenishment for all items assigned
Report supplier sales performance on a monthly basis
Research new trends or advances in product lines to make appropriate recommendations and buying decisions
Respond to all franchisee concerns in a timely manor
Identify areas for expense reduction and for increased revenue
Liaison between suppliers and franchisees
Coach and educate franchisees on new product initiatives
Create spreadsheets and provide monthly reporting statistics
Ensure standard work processes are in place and utilized
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion
Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Demonstrate developed communication, organizational and negotiation skills
