Position Summary:
Teach For All seeks an Associate, Finance to join its Finance team, reporting to the Senior Director, Finance. The position requires a highly organized and bright individual for this entry-level position that lends support to the Finance team is the areas of accounting, general administration and corporate compliance. This is an opportunity for an entry level candidate with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn to develop strong generalist professional skills as well as accounting and finance-specific skills and to make a significant contribution to the Finance operations at Teach For All.

Team Overview:
The Finance team ensures that Teach For All has the financial and administrative capabilities to support our rapid organizational growth and enables us to meet our short- and long-term goals. The team oversees all financial matters, including accounting operations, planning and analysis, grants and contracts and payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Accounting (40%)

Perform accounts payable clerical functions, including payment request intake, initial review and processing in line with a pre-determined set of guidelines, vendor file maintenance, and payment log entries.
Act as the point of contact for vendor and staff inquiries on payment status and is expected to demonstrate top-notch customer service skills.
Produce regular and ad hoc financial and accounting reports.

General Administration (40%)

Handle mission critical administrative responsibilities and support to ensure the team and organization objects are met.
Maintain highly organized, audit-ready files in line with document retention guidelines, manage incoming organizational mail, coordinate new staff onboarding activities, and follow up with staff on various issues.
Manage meeting logistics and scheduling, photocopying, expense reporting, photocopying, scanning, faxing and other assigned tasks.

Corporate Compliance (20%):

Under the guidance of the Senior Director, Finance, initiate and maintain state registrations for labor, corporate and charity filings and maintaining records of the same.
Play a key role in monitoring internal compliance with TFAlls policies and procedures, including reviewing of expense reports, compliance testing on procurement process, examining AMEX card use.

Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree required; finance or accounting background preferred
o 0 to 3 years of experience.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel is required
o Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to adapt to an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, results-oriented start-up culture
