The Conservatoire for Dance and Drama is a world-leading higher education institution dedicated to training dance, drama and circus artists and technical professionals. It is composed of eight affiliate schools based in London, Leeds and Bristol and receives funding from HEFCE.
The Conservatoire for Dance and Drama is seeking a part-time Finance Director to provide strong financial leadership and contribute to the vision of the Conservatoire. The post-holder will provide strategic advice to the Principals and the Board of Governors on financial and planning matters. The post-holder will be responsible for the Conservatoire's accounting function, for student financial planning and for supporting/advising affiliate schools on higher education financial policy. The post is based in London and will require regular travel to Bristol and Leeds as well as frequent contact with all eight affiliate schools.
Candidates will be qualified accountants with experience at a strategic level gained in a public sector or charity environment (ideally higher education). Candidates will be energetic and articulate with strong presentational skills and an ability to work with people at all levels. An interest in the performing arts is desirable in an institution dedicated to training the artists of the future.
