Controller
The position is responsible for maintaining the accounting books and records for the Company including the following:

Maintain and operate the Microsoft Great Plains general ledger system and prepare Firm financial statements;
Manage the close of the general ledger on a monthly basis. Review reconciliations for all accounts;
Manage daily cash balances; and ensure adequate liquidity;
Forecast firm expenditures and cash flow. Analyze and explain variances to budget;
Assist in preparation of income tax filings and returns;
Assist in Managing tracking and accounting of fixed assets;
Assist in Managing applicable vendor/customer relationships
Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain and update firm accounting procedure manuals;
Manage adequacy of insurance and associated contracts - including those related to employees and to the Firm;
Provide financial analysis to calculate commissions;
Responsible for the annual audit and preparing the financials with footnotes.

Ideal Candidate
Detail oriented analytical accountant with controller experience
Highly proficient with Microsoft Great Plains accounting software
Public accounting (preferably Big 4) Audit experience
Understanding of SEC Compliance regulations
Auditing, documenting, and internal control understanding and orientation
Preference for CPA and/or MBA
