A large nonprofit in Brooklyn is seeking a candidate to assist with the operations and budget of the Development Department.
Responsibilities:
Process all Institutional Advancement payables transactions, ensuring that all required signatures, documentation and paperwork is received, recorded and transmitted for fulfillment
Oversee preparation and reconciliation of budgets and petty cash
Record and monitor departmental revenue and expense and transactions and track department budgets continuously over the course of the year
Prepare current and projected expense and revenue reports, project, program and/or campaign goals
Draft annual budget
Assist Finance and Administration in the preparation of annual audit, IRS Form 990 and other external reports as relevant to Institutional Advancement
Assure timely and effective operations by serving as liaison to multiple offices and functions:
Finance and Administration regarding budget and revenue related items.
Human resources for effective hiring and termination.
External vendors as required.
Finance and Office Management
Collaborate with Development staff to ensure "best practice" policies in financial and operations administration.
Oversee supply inventory and organization of overall Institutional Advancement storage.
Oversee space usage and office configurations for expanding staff.
Candidates must be interested in this on a temp to perm basis -
All candidates will have at least 3 years working in a Development office and have worked in a managerial capacity.
