Accounts Payable Clerk (Upper East Side)

Sotheby's International Realty, Inc., is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work at our Corporate Manhattan office. This position is responsible for preparing and processing check vouchers, reviewing and auditing of TE expense reports, and building positive relationships in the process. The ideal candidate will be personable, professional and team-oriented. Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and review invoice vouchers and TEs. Extensive review for proper authorization/signature, account coding, and other document information.
  • Build relationships and interact with vendors, branch offices, and Corporate headquarters on Accounts Payable inquiries and issues.
  • Take ownership of document scanning software to ensure all Accounts Payable and other departmental documents are input and accounted for.
  • Lead and manage efforts to process workflow online (paperless).
  • Release processed checks and send overnight packages to branch offices.
  • Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor with projects to troubleshoot Accoutns Payable issues.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable helpdesk and respond within guaranteed time limit.
  • Prepare wire transfer forms.
  • Maintain database of utility payments.
  • Other Accounts Payable related duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years experience
  • 3 years Accounts Payable/Accounting experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external customers at all levels
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
